Sacramento State forward Duro Bjegovic had 18 points and eight rebounds as the Hornets beat the Idaho State Bengals 74-63 to secure back-to-back victories for the first time this season Thursday night at the Hornets Nest.

The Hornets improved to 5-15 (2-7 in conference but still remain in last place in the Big Sky Conference.

The Hornets built a 31-17 lead by the half and never looked back. It has been a tough season for the Hornets with six of their losses coming by five points or less. However, that was not the issue in this game, as Sac State led comfortably for most of the contest.

Four Hornets scored in double-digits, led by Bjegovic. Junior guard/forward Heath Hoffman scored 16 points, including 9-of-10 from the foul line. Sophomore forward John Dickson scored 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting. Senior point guard Sultan Toles-Bey scored 11 points and dished out season-high-tying nine assists.

Sac State looks for its first road win Saturday against Portland State at 7:05 p.m.
