Ayaana Williams (she/her) is the visuals editor for The State Hornet. She is a multimedia journalist with a background in writing, broadcast, radio, film, photography and more. This is her first semester on The State Hornet staff. She was previously the features editor for The Collegian and editor-in-chief of her high school newspaper. She plans on graduating in spring 2022 and pursuing a career in broadcast media.

Kaylin Flatland, audience engagement editor

Kaylin Flatland is the audience engagement editor for The State Hornet. She is a senior who has previously worked as a digital assistant for iHeartMedia. Kaylin has experience as a staff writer for the Sac City Express and The Connection at Cosumnes River College.

John Cabales, sports writer

James Fife, Podcast Editor

Mack Ervin III, podcast editor

Mack Ervin III is the podcast editor for The State Hornet. He is a senior who joined back in fall 2019 and has previously served as football beat writer and multimedia reporter. A double major in journalism and communications, he is also an avid sports, racing and video game enthusiast.
