The Sacramento Police Department responded to a shooting at the University and 65th Street light rail station around 3 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2024. The suspects in the shooting allegedly carjacked someone at gunpoint nearby on Folsom Blvd, the car was found abandoned on campus in parking lot 2.

Bienvenidos a este episodio del SOMOS pódcast del semestre otoño 2023. SOMOS se enfoca en hablar con miembros de nuestra comunidad Hispana e Latina que son una gran influencia en nuestra universidad.

En este episodio nos sentamos a platicar con la presidenta de los Estudiantes Asociados Incorporados (ASI) de la Universidad Estatal de Sacramento, Nataly Andrade-Dominguez.

Andrade-Dominguez nos habla sobre su mudanza de Los Ángeles a Sacramento para atender la universidad de Sacramento State y estudiar ciencias políticas. Ella nos cuenta sobre la carrera que le interesa perseguir después de graduarse, cómo llegó a involucrarse con ASI y como le captivo poder ayudar a los estudiantes de la comunidad a través de su puesto. Además, nos cuenta sobre su experiencia como mujer e hija de inmigrantes en la posición en la que está.
