No. 12 Denver (876) topped the rest and snagged the title at the NCAA West Regional Preview hosted by Sacramento State on Tuesday at the Lincoln Hills Golf Club. The Sacramento State women’s golf team tied for 14th with Cal Poly with a score of 930. Sac State senior Heather LeMaster topped the Hornets placing 37th with a score of 231. Senior Kim Coppin (234) and freshman Samantha Saffold tied for 54th, senior Erica Yoshino tied for 66th, and sophomore Brooke Green tied for 79th. Senior Emily Longcrier and junior Annie Becker competed as individuals from Sac State. Longcrier (243) tied for 86th and Becker (250) finished 98th. The Hornets will compete in the NAU Preview on April 10 in Phoenix, Ariz. Karyn Gilbert can be reached at [email protected].
