Down the street a little further from the casinos is a Holiday Inn Express for those working on a tighter budget. Four people can stay in a room with two double beds on the weekend at the Holiday Inn Express for about $150 per night or about $90 a night during the week.

The Forest Buffet, located inside Harrah&s Casino, presents food from all over the world from its state of the art kitchen from all over the world. On the weekends, The Forest Buffet charges $24.99 per person to indulge in its exquisite cuisine, including rotisserie chicken, brick oven pizzas and charbroiled steaks.

For the cheaper traveler, there is a Taco Bell and a Denny&s conveniently located near the strip, both easily accessible by foot from the casinos.

Heavenly Ski Resort should be the next stop for the weekend adventure. Lift tickets to this resort cost $65 per day to access Heavenly&s 29 lifts and 91 runs, which are all currently open.

Before cruising down Tahoe&s highest mountain, travelers can rent ski or snowboard gear from many different locations around Lake Tahoe. Discount Ski and Snowboard Rentals charges $24 per day for a full snowboard setup and $24-40 per day for a ski setup.

Combined, all of these expenses can add up to a pretty big penny that is sure to dent any traveler&s wallet.

Other expenses like gambling money, gloves, goggles, snow boots and snow pants should also be considered when planning for a trip to Tahoe.

With 72 miles of shoreline, Lake Tahoe is the largest Alpine lake in North America and has attracted such stars for neighbors as Cher and Wayne Newton.

Celebrity or not, be prepared to drop some serious cash in order experience the wonders of Tahoe.
