Of the 300 seats in the Music Recital Hall of Capistrano Hall for the Oct. 7 gubernatorial debate between Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and state Treasurer Phil Angelides, the California Broadcasters Association has granted Sacramento State 75 invitations.

Frank Whitlatch,associate vice president of Public Affairs, said the invitations will be distributed to on-campus staff and faculty and off-campus community supporters, as decided by the Faculty Senate and university administration.

He added that at least 30 Sac State students will be invited through various methods, mainly through Associated Students Inc. No tickets will be available for purchase, and guests are must show an identification card to enter the venue.

The rest of the room will be allotted for debate coordinators and media cameras, Whitlatch said.
