The Folsom Police Department is investigating allegations that five teenage males sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl on Saturday night said Kurt Knudsen, public information officer for the Folsom Police Department.

The girl, who currently goes to El Camino High School met the boys on the popular networking Web site called MySpace, and met up for a “get-together” at a house in Folsom said Kurt Knudsen, public information officer for the Folsom Police Department.

Three of the young men currently go to Granite Bay High and the other two go to Roseville High. Two of the young men are 18 years old.

Knudsen said the department received a call early Sunday morning from the teenage girl that she had been sexually assaulted by all five of the boys.

The girl was taken to U.C. Davis Medical Center to check for evidence of any sexual abuse.

Knusden said that he’s not sure if any charges will be filed as the girl’s story to police keeps changing.

He said that it is unclear whether or not the sexual contact was consensual and that there is a possibility that she lied to the other boys about her age, telling them was is 18 years old.

Police are still interviewing the possible suspects and victim.

The story has some students at Roseville High School shocked and scared.

“It’s scary to think that anybody could ever think of doing that,” said Alycia Jensen, a senior at Roseville High School.

She said that she is best friends with one of the young men involved and hasn’t talked to him all day since she found out this morning.”I can’t even look at him,” she said.

Jensen has a profile of herself set up on MySpace.

“I would never meet up with someone I met on the Internet,” she said.

Shadow Scott, a senior at Roseville High School, also has a profile on MySpace and said she only talks to people she knows on the Web site.”People are psycho,” she said.

Scott said that like Jensen, she also found out today and that it was really awkward to see the young men at school.

“No one knew what to say to them,” she said.

Knudsen said the investigation should be completed next week and that it’s been difficult for police since they were only given first names when the assault was reported.
