1990s alternative act Dishwalla has come out with a new CD, entitled “Opaline,” which has so many good tracks it?s hard to pick a favorite.

The Santa Barbara, Calif. band first hit it big in 1996 with their pop single “Counting Blue Cars.” Their alternative rock style was well-liked, and their new music sounds a lot like fellow alternative rock band Vertical Horizon.

The album opens with the titele track, a good choice to start off with. The next song, “Angels or Devils,” sounds like something that you might hear on a television show like “Charmed,” “Dawson?s Creek” or “Smallville.”

All the songs are good but that would depend on your music preference. This is definitely not one of those albums that you buy just for one song. The best track is “Angels or Devils;” the interlocking melody and words talk about a relationship that went bad, but suggests that maybe time will heal the pain.

” Somewhere in the Middle” is a classic breakup song, where one person is still in love with the other. They can?t go back but, they can?t go forward; they?re stuck somewhere in the middle.

There are so many good songs it?s hard to pick just one, but Dishwalla?s “Opaline,” is definitely a good choice when out looking for music.
