SEEN: ‘Greek’ season 3 episode 2

ABC’s “Greek” season 3, episode 2 is all about judgment.

It’s the annual ZBZ father-daughter shindig and Rusty has to face the judgment of Jordan’s dad.

Rusty’s attempt to make a good first impression on Jordan’s dad was foiled when Jordan’s dad mistook him for Jordan’s ex-boyfriend, Andy. Jordan’s dad’s impression of Rusty grew even worse when he caught Rusty and Jordan about to do the deed.

Rusty made an even worse impression by tackling Jordan’s dad at the flag-football game featuring the ZBZ fathers against fraternity boys. While Jordan’s dad will probably not like Rusty any time soon, Jordan likes Rusty enough and that’s all the matters.

In this episode, Dale struggles with his own personal judgment and his relationship with God. He feels guilty about his “magically disgusting” sexual experience with his landlady. Throughout the episode he tries to find ways to purge himself of his sins.

Cappy tells Dale that there will always be plenty of other girls and gods. However, Dale and Cappy both realize they don’t want any of the other fish in the sea. Cappy wants Casey and Dale wants his God back.

“Greek” writers topped this episode off with loads of comical sexual puns.

During breakfast with Ashley, Casey, Rebecca and Fisher at the ZBZ house, Ashley teases Rebecca about not being able to cram sausage “up her mouth fast enough.”

This double pun implies the secret kiss that Fisher and Rebecca exchanged at the KT party. Fisher drops a plate on the floor and Casey guesses from Fisher’s actions and Rebecca’s facial expressions that Rebecca kissed Fisher at the party and not Evan.

Casey confronts Fisher and Rebecca about the kiss, but makes the bad move of keeping it a secret among the three of them in order to protect Ashley’s feelings.

Rebecca then feels a sense of self-righteousness and fesses up to Ashley about the kiss. However, her confession throws Casey under the bus and just makes both girls more upset with her.

This makes me revert back to feeling that Rebecca is mean and manipulative. I slowly began to love her again as I see how badly she wants to make things right between her and the girls.

As the ZBZ father-daughter day continues, the ZBZ girls sing a tribute to their dads, which turns into a hellish nightmare. Ashley can’ keep her cool and decides to incorporate nasty lines about Rebecca into the song. Then everybody starts throwing out the “B” word and fights on stage.

The chaos slows down when everybody takes a breather and realizes what they had done was wrong. Cappy also realizes at the end that maybe rejecting Casey in the last episode wasn’t such a smart idea after all.
