A woman was assaulted by a man while getting into her car, in Parking Lot 8, around 7 p.m. Monday, according to a press release.

The woman, a student, was grabbed while she was getting in her car. She managed to fight off the attacker and was not injured.

This assault comes after two separate instances of battery and assault in the past two weeks on college campuses in Sacramento.

On Feb. 16, two girls jogging on the Guy West Bridge had their buttocks grabbed by two men, campus police said. A composite sketch of one man can be seen in this week’s State Hornet.

As of Monday afternoon, no arrests have been made regarding the Guy West incident.

On Feb. 15, a woman was attacked in a restroom stall at American River Community College, according to a campus police press release. A man tried to remove her pants, and when she fought back, he pushed her into the wall, knocking her unconscious. When she came to, the man was gone.

Anyone with information regarding any of these cases can call the University Police at 278-6851, or the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department at 874-5115.
