At No. 1 Jan Macek beat Junaid Hossain 6-0, 6-3, at No. 2 Brian Brogan ousted Loredo 3-6, 7-6 (5), 10-8, at No. 3 Kevin McQuaid took care of Warwick Foy 7-6 (3), 7-6 (8), at No. 4 Bobby Rasmussen blasted Thomas Morton 6-2, 6-3, at No. 5 Tommy Hicks had no trouble beating Ramon Perez 6-2, 6-1 and finally at No. 6 A.J. Kerin beat Hague Van Dillen 6-2, 7-6 (7). Both teams agreed to not play doubles, which made the score a decisive 6-0 for the Broncos.

Friday the Hornets faced Nevada at home and this time it was Sac State who came out raging. The Hornets took the match 6-1 behind strong singles play and two default matches by the Wolfpack.

In doubles play, No. 1 pair Hossain and Loredo defeated Guillaume Tonelli and Milos Popovic 8-3, No. 2 Foy and Perez beat Eldar Dzhafarov and Rafal Stupka 8-5 and Paul Komorniczak and Van Dillen won their match by default to give the Hornets a 1-0 lead.

The only blemish for the Hornets came when No. 1 Hossain lost in straight sets to Tonelli 6-3, 6-3. All other Hornets won their matches to give them the easy 6-1 victory. Loredo beat Popovic 6-2, 6-3, Foy defeated Dzhafarov 6-1, 6-3, Morton downed Stupka 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, Van Dillen clipped Max Volger 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 and Perez won his match by default as well to finish the match.
