Stitch is so cute. So are all the other “cousins” gonewrong.

We pick up where we left off after the movie, “Lilo and Stitch.”Pleakly, the “Earth expert,” and Jumba, the evil genius scientist, are now “ohana” (family) to Lilo and Stitch. During Stitch’sattempt to become part of the Hawaiian community, he messes up apicnic by setting flames to a banner and cutting up the picnictable. Everyone gets mad because of what he did and he becomesmiserable that he doesn’t have any cousins on Earth.

Back on his alien planet, Stitch was experiment number 626. Wefind out that there were 625 other experiments that Jumba hadcreated (and brought along to Earth) along with another scientist,Dr. Jacques Von Hamsterviel. Now, Hamsterviel wants them back. Hehires the previous Captain of the Galactic Alliance, Captain Gantu, who was “retired” when he failed to bring back 626/Stitch.

Dr. Hamsterviel gets a hold of Experiment 625, an alienthat has all the same qualities and powers as Stitch, only lazier. In fact, the only flair he has is making sandwiches. He kidnapsJumba and it’s up to Lilo and Stitch to get him back, along withnewfound “cousin” experiment 221, Sparky, a power surge maniac.

This movie was almost as fun to watch as the first one. But”almost” is the keyword. It wasn’t as cute, funny and as overallcharming as the first one. No wonder it went straight to video.

It wasn’t all that bad though. It just wasn’t very funny. I didhave a few chuckles here and there, but no, “Oh my goodness! Thatwas so cute!” (Or, funny)

The DVD features didn’t even make up for the lack ofcharisma this movie was lacking. There’s a trivia challenge voicedby the evil Dr. Hamsterviel. He locks you up if you get a questionwrong. The experiment finder has you click certain spots on a pageto try to find four missing experiments, which you then place in anenvironment where they will fit in and not cause trouble.

The Experiment Gallery is for those who are interested in thedifferent experiments and what they did. Such as Poxxy, Experiment222, an “alien microbe who gets inside planetary leaders and givesthem smelly feet, purple pimples, and the burps.” Or Nosey, experiment 199- “A nosey gossip who reveals everyone’s mostembarrassing thoughts.” It only shows a handful though, so don’texpect all 625 to be on the list.

Lastly, you can view a music video performed by Jump5. That’snot a lot of features, Disney. There are of course sneak peeks, what’s a DVD without those? But all in all, the disc was not up tomy standards and the movie wasn’t all that great either. But if youenjoy children’s movies and you really, really liked the firstmovie, then you’ll probably like this one. Get it for your”ohana.”
