A female student was reportedly sexually assaulted Monday in Parking Structure I.

While details are vague, the incident occurred in the evening as the student was entering her vehicle, said Sacramento State Police Det. Scott Christian.

The student did not see the suspect and was not able to provide a description to police, Christian said.

A member of her family reported the crime and the victim declined to give a statement to police, Christian said.

Christian called the assault “fairly serious,” but said he could not give any details about the attack due to the pending investigation. This is the fifth reported sexual assault this semester.
