Police are looking for a man who allegedly groped a female student today as she walked through the Sacramento State Library Quad.

What police are deeming a sexual battery occurred just before noon as the victim was walking from the library to the University Union.

The suspect, whom the victim did not recognize, “touched the victim’s chest through her clothing as he walked past her,” said Sac State Police Det. Scott Christian.

The suspect “kept walking, and didn’t say anything,” Christian said. The victim, whose name is being withheld, was not injured, Christian said.

However, the victim did see where the suspect walked to, and immediately contacted police, Christian said.

“We’re out looking for him now,” Christian said.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-11-inch tall black man wearing a black baseball cap, black jacket and blue jeans.
