Study abroad and earn credit

We’ve all had dreams of walking through the streets ofsome foreign land and feeling right at home.

For those of us who’d like to make that dream a reality,looking into an international study program is the way. Throughthese programs, students can go to universities overseas, earncredit, and not pay through the nose for the experience.

Studyabroad.com is a Web site that helps students find a programto fit their needs. Searches can be done by length of timeoverseas, destination, which subjects to study, and many otheroptions. The search will show you hyperlinks to universitiesoffering the study abroad program that fits your needs.

Calstate.edu/ip, is the web-site specifically for the CaliforniaState University International Program. It is a state-wideinformational site that gives shows students about the applicationprocess and the countries offered. This site has listed 19countries programs offered through CSUS, anywhere from Australia toZimbabwe.

Csus.edu/oip/, offers information specific to the SacramentoState Study Abroad Program. There is information on 13 countriesand the programs offered within them. There is also informationabout traveling and working abroad as well.

Janis Silvers isthe study abroad advisor and she will also be able to put studentsinterested in the program in touch with others who’ve alreadytraveled overseas through CSUS, in order to receive anotherstudent’s perspective.
