MTV invades Sac State

Seven strangers are picked to live in a house and have their lives taped, a show where people stop being polite and start getting real. Ring a bell? Then you must be familiar with the latest edition of this series, “The Real World: Las Vegas,” and the show’s young and attractive cast members.

On Feb. 4, Frank, one of the Las Vegas cast members, signed autographs, took pictures and spoke with students at the travel agency in the University Union as a part of the “Contrast Reek and Rock” trip.

After an early morning of interviews with newspapers and radio stations, Frank was energetic and ready to roll when he entered the Union.

When asked if his experience on “The Real World” was worth it, he responded quickly, “Oh yeah, definitely.”

Of course, having your life taped 24/7 does have its downfalls. Remember the cute girl that Frank took into the confessional? Well, if you remember that moment, you are not the only one.

Turns out that it is not rare for someone to casually go up to Frank and say, “Hey, you’re the guy that had sex in the confessional!” “It’s not such a good thing when a guy puts his hand on your shoulder and says something like that when you’re out on a date with a girl,” said Frank. “Especially not when you’re trying to impress her.”

Frank says he and the “confessional girl” are still friends and still keep in touch. However, Frank did acknowledge that she was a little troubled with the negativity that was directed at her after the show was aired.

After all the attention garnered from his time on the “Real World: Las Vegas,” Frank admits he’s persuing an acting career. In fact, he was recently offered a bit part in “American Wedding,” the third enstallment of the “American Pie.”

Now that the show is completed, it appears that friendship amongst the fellow castmates is far from over. Currently Frank is living in Los Angeles alongside fellow cast mates Trishelle and Steven (who he sees every day).
