Sacramento State’s women’s basketball team failed to put together a road winning streak after getting crushed by Northern Arizona 94-56 Saturday in Flagstaff.

Coming off a victory against Weber State Thursday, the Hornets were dismantled in their biggest conference loss of the season.

After taking an early 6-4 lead after 4:43 in the first half, the Lumberjacks started a 22-4 run and from there put the game out of reach scoring a season high 59 points in the first half.

Sac State’s leading scorer, junior forward Kylie Kuhns, came in averaging 13.7 points per game and finished with 15 points and seven rebounds; but it was sophomore guard Allie Moreno who shined for the second game in a row.

Moreno finished with a team high 20 points despite only shooting 4-for-11 from the 3-point line, in her last two games she has made 12 3-point shots.

The Hornets look to rebound as they return home this week when they host Eastern Washington and Northern Colorado on Feb. 2 and 4.
