President Luke Wood announced plans for winter 2024 commencement to be held in Golden 1 Center in a campus-wide email Thursday.
From his time as a student to working on our campus and serving as President of the University’s employees union, Richard Perry will be remembered as a memorable part of the Sac State community. Sacramento State Alumnus, groundskeeper and civil rights advocate Richard Perry passed away on Jan. 15 after battling Parkinson’s disease.

Sacramento State alumna Angela Chavez is the founder of the local nonprofit Chicas Latinas de Sacramento. As a Sacramento native, she has witnessed first-hand the struggles of being a Latina in the community and hopes to make a change with her nonprofit.
