Ari Lennox replaces Summer Walker in Sol Blume lineup

Sacramento festival Sol Blume announced Monday morning that R&B singer-songwriter Ari Lennox will perform as a headlining artist at the April 27 event.
Lennox will replace Summer Walker in the lineup, who can no longer perform due to “unforeseen circumstances,” said a Sol Blume press release on Monday.

Courtney Shanade Salter, who uses the stage name Ari Lennox, is an R&B singer-songwriter most commonly known as the “First Lady of Dreamville Records,” J. Cole’s record label. Her latest release with J. Cole, “Shea Butter Baby,” was featured in the 2018 film “Creed II.”
Lennox will be contributing to Dreamville Records’ next album “Revenge of the Dreamers III,” according to okayplayer. Other artists involved in the project are Vince Staples and Wale.

Gabrielle Saliba, a Sac State graphic design major said she is a fan of Lennox’s, and that she is excited to see her at Sol Blume. Saliba said this is her second year going to the festival.
“To be honest, I love Summer Walker but I am also starting to get into Ari Lennox,” Saliba said. “I mean, (Lennox) has got to be good since she is part of Dreamville.”
“Sky Walker” singer Miguel is headlining Sol Blume on April 27. Other artists included in the festival’s lineup include Masego, Jessie Reyez, Queen Naija and Tierra Whack.
