The 2011 State Employees Food Drive collected 332 more pounds than the previous year’s effort.

Sacramento State’s community donated 7,775 pounds of food for Sacramento’s needy from Nov. 14 to Dec. 20. In addition to canned and dry food items, monetary donations totaled $2,138.70.

The food drive was organized by staff members of the University Transportation and Parking Services, which is a division of the Administration and Business Affairs. Nancy Fox, senior director of UTAPS, coordinated the food drive.
