With three vital points on the line, the Sacramento State Hornets were in need of a rejuvenation to bring themselves back up in the Big Sky Conference standings. A Montana dagger in the 61st minute took away any hopes that the Hornets had of getting something out of this game.

The second half clinic from the Bengals resulted in a 3-0 defeat for the Hornets, with both sides breathing down each other’s necks throughout the game.

With the score at 1-1 in the closing minutes, a late penalty shout in favor of the Hornets was waved off, resulting in a draw against the Lumberjacks.
