Students at Sac State were treated to an electrifying performance by the “Zuzu African Acrobats,” a Tanzanian performance group known for their daring stunts and rhythmic dances. The event, organized by the UNIQUE Program, celebrated Black History Month with a showcase of African culture through movement and music. Watch as they flip, balance and dance their way into the hearts of the audience!

(he/him) Sam Malone is a junior journalism and Asian studies student in his first semester at The State Hornet. He is hoping to become a music journalist or freelancer. In his free time he enjoys hanging out with family and friends.

Madison Flewellyn, Multimedia Staffer

(she/her) Madison Flewellyn is a third-year journalism major and a film minor. She is entering her first semester at The State Hornet. Madison hopes to purse a career in broadcast journalism after graduation.

Zachary Hernandez, Multimedia Staffer

(he/him) Zachary Hernandez is a transfer student from Lancaster, California and is entering his second semester here at Sac State and first semester with The State Hornet. He is a communication studies major and is interested in content creation and marketing.

Skylar Findlay, Multimedia Editor

(she/her) Skylar Findlay is a fourth-year journalism major with a minor in marketing. Skylar is graduating in the spring of 2025 and hopes to pursue a career in broadcast journalism as a news reporter or anchor. The past two semesters at The State Hornet she was a multimedia staffer and she returns this semester taking on the role of a multimedia editor. In her free time she travels to see her friends and family, but her all-time favorite place to be is the beach.
