Accident near university clogs traffic
February 20, 2008
A motorcycle ran into a car on College Town Drive east of State University Drive South just before 2 p.m. today.
Traffic was backed up on College Town Drive when two motorists in the east bound lanes stopped to let a silver Isuzu Rodeo turn left into the parking lot for 7700 College Town Drive, said Sacramento Police Department Officer T.J. Barnes.
As the Isuzu turned into the parking lot, the motorcycle drove between the stopped cars and hit the Isuzu, Barnes said.
Barnes would not release the names of the motorcycle or Isuzu driver.
The motorcycle driver was taken to the hospital with moderate, non-life threatening injuries, Barnes said.
The driver of the Isuzu was still at the scene of the accident as a tow truck began to remove the motorcycle from left hand east bound lane, but did not wish to comment.
