Former NFL player to speak on being gay

Esera Tuaolo, a former football player who came out as gay after a 10-year career in the NFL, will be speaking at 8 p.m. Thursday in the University Union Redwood Room.
The speech is titled “Creating a world of tolerance” and is sponsored by Sacramento State’s PRIDE Center, Multicultural Center and Associated Students Inc.
Tualo is the author of a book entitled “Life in the Trenches: My Life as a Gay Man in the NFL.” The book was released in March 2006.
