Women are doing just as much as men.

Nowadays, we see women going to school, holding full-time jobs and some are even managing a family as well. How is it that these women can handle all of these priorities and some men only seem to want to do the minimum? I think it’s safe to say, women no longer need a “Superman,” because they are now becoming their own heroes.

Not only are women holding all these responsibilities, they are doing it while still having a life and going full-speed ahead. No one said it would be easy, but somehow these women make it look like a walk in the park for them.

Today, women are dominating so many fields; they are becoming unstoppable. Women have evolved from the stereotypical world of just having to be the housewife. And yes, many are still housewives but some like to have their career to top it off. There are some who go to work full-time and then come home to cook a full meal, take care of the children and still have their relationship with their significant other.

With the women doing all of these things, we clearly see a gender role switch happening. Usually, we think of the men going to work full time and having their degree, while the women are at home maintaining the household.

However, the gender roles have made a 180-degree turn, and women are climbing to the top of the ladder. I believe it takes a very secure man to encourage a women to excel for higher expectations, but there are some men who are still stuck in the traditional mindset of women staying home. They may feel threatened, or they genuinely might believe that men can do more than women. Yes, sexism is still a huge thing.

On the flip side, many men are glad that they have ambitious women in their lives, whether those women are devoted mothers or trauma surgeons. Many men appreciate their partner to work outside of the home, so that they can watch their kids grow while she “brings home the bacon.”

Furthermore, some of these strong women are raising kids on their own. These women are having to be the mommy and daddy, all while providing for not just themselves but for their kids as well.

So many kids are going to look up to these women and they should because of what these women are showing to the younger generation. They are being shown that going to school, getting a career and still managing a household can be done.

Women are becoming the new men, because they are setting their minds to it. Once you set a goal for yourself, nothing should stop you from achieving it. Never settle for less than you deserve, and if you put your mind to it, your goals and ambitions will only grow from there. And I think that’s what women these days are doing.

So the next time you see a women in her zone, you better watch out, because she’s going full-force in the world, and she’s going to conquer it, one day at a time.
