Eastern Washington too much for Sac State in Chaney

The Eastern Washington Eagles used their home court advantage to hand the Sacramento State women’s basketball team a 63-49 conference loss at Reese Court tonight. 

This loss drops the Hornets away record to 4-8 with a 12-8, 7-4 record overall. 

Senior forward Kylie Kuhns ended the game as the Hornets’ leader with 12 points and 11 rebounds, but also took home a technical foul. 

Junior guard Se’nyce Parrish was the only other player to shoot in double-digits for the Hornets with 11 points. 

Sac State led by as much as nine with 6:37 left in the first, but the momentum switched as the Eagles upheld a smooth lead throughout the rest of the game. 

Eastern Washington’s guard Lexie Nelson found herself a game-high 17 points in her team’s Big Sky win. 

Sac State will stay on the road as it travels to Portland State for another Big Sky matchup against the Vikings on Saturday at 2 p.m.
