Major fair to be held at Sac State
March 6, 2012
The Sacramento State Academic Advising and Career Center will be hosting the major fair on Wednesday at the University Union Ballroom from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
This major fair is open to all sac students who would like to get more information on their majors such as: what major to choose, what you can do with your major and how to change your major.
Important information and deadlines will be provided about the impacted majors: business, criminal justice, graphic design, health science, interior design, nursing, and psychology.
Diana Gonzales first-year orientation coordinator said this is a great opportunity for students to get answers to their questions.
“We do it to inform students of deadlines and requirements,” Gonzales said.
Assistant director of Academic Advising Mary Shepherd said students will be having the opportunity to meet with academic departments and career counselors to discuss their options.
“We are hoping to see 500 to 700 students attend the event, so far 90 percent of the departments have confirmed their attendance,” Shepherd said.
Shepherd said if you are not able to attend the major fair you can always visit the career center or your major advisor for information on majors.
