David Demola’s Weight Loss Wonderblog No. 3
November 19, 2009
Making the decision to lose weight, when you have never cared how heavy you were before, is a big change to make.
It requires you to shut off your basic instinct, when it comes to choosing what to eat.
Pizza? I could live without it.
Soda? I kicked that aside at the very start of this blog, and have not looked back since.
Beer? Fast food?
Ah, there is the problem area.
Alcohol is an easy way to have a good time. A couple six-packs of beer and some friends are all the ingredients I need for a fun night.
But liquor and booze is just empty calories, and a waste of money.
I know. I just committed a sin against the college lifestyle. But it is true.
My problem with getting rid of fast food is more of a self-regulation issue. If I tried harder, I could cut the golden arches out of my life.
But really? Slipping up happens.
With a little more self-control, one mistake does not have to be the end of your weight loss goal.
It is all about staying strong to your conviction to become healthy.
