She previously wrote and edited for the American River Current and enjoys tackling complex, taboo subjects to shift narratives and spark conversations that drive social and cultural change. In her free time Annie enjoys spending time with her partner and their three dogs.

An estimated 400 students and faculty participated in a walkout to protest recent actions by Sac State and the CSU system Thursday, April 24, 2025. The walk started at the library quad at 11 a.m. and made its way to Sacramento Hall, near President Luke Wood’s office.

Students walked across campus to fundraiser for suicide awareness in annual Out of the Darkness Campus Walk.
Sacramento State Police Department conducted its biannual testing of campus security towers throughout the week of Monday, March 24, 2025. There are 256 emergency phones across campus, including standalone poles and wall-mounted units on campus and in parking garages.

The Sac State Police Department has repaired and ensured that nearly all of the emergency blue light towers on campus are operational.
