The Sacramento Police Department responded to a shooting at the University and 65th Street light rail station around 3 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2024. The suspects in the shooting allegedly carjacked someone at gunpoint nearby on Folsom Blvd, the car was found abandoned on campus in parking lot 2.

Sacramento State’s UNiQUE hosted their Wednesday Nooner event featuring the local Sacramento musical group The Band Hayez on Feb. 14. 

Hayez specializes in performing funk, jazz and R&B music. Hayez performs all over the U.S. and lead singer of the band, Alicia Huff, was able to speak to us about their award-winning music. The campus community was allowed to attend, grab some popcorn and watch the band perform this past Valentine’s Day!
