Sac State students celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month

Sept. 15 through Oct. 15 symbolizes National Hispanic Heritage Month. Sacramento State is a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) with more than 11,000 Hispanic and Latino students, according to Sac State’s enrollment dashboard.

The State Hornet spoke with Hispanic and Latino students on campus to learn more about what this month signifies to them and about their experiences here at Sac State.

A judge ordered the Trump administration to fully reinstate the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program that was ended in 2017.
