Sac State holds Provost’s showcase
October 28, 2015
Sacramento State’s Office of Research Affairs held the Provost’s Student Research Showcase in the University Union on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
This event allowed students who had completed a research study to showcase their posters to the public. Vicki Pearson-Rounds, research development officer of Research Affairs said this is the second time Sac State has held such an event.
She said this opportunity allowed students to gain experience doing a research program and practice their professional presentation skills without the intimidation of being judged.
Pearson-Rounds also said a similar event is held in the spring, but an oral presentation is required, and students are judged during that presentation.
