Security breach for CSU students

There was a security breach in the California State University system that exposed personal information on 79,000 students, according to CSU officials.

The breach was discovered on Aug. 28th and affected CSU San Bernardino, Sonoma State, CSU Pomona, CSU Los Angeles, CSU Northridge, San Diego State, CSU Channel Islands and CSU Maritime Academy.

As reported by The San Bernardino Sun, the firm that seized the students’ information is known as We End Violence. The information that was taken was user names, student ID numbers, email addresses, gender identity, where the student attends school, age, race and ethnicity.
