Sophomore Kalliah McCartney was the only all-around competitor for the Hornet and she competed well in all her rotations. The only real blemish was during the uneven bars when she scored a 9.450.
McCartney finished ninth overall in the all-around competition with a total score of 38.900. Her best rotation of the night came off the vault to lead the Hornets with a 9.850.
Senior Nicole Meiller scored a solid vault rotation score with a 9.800 that tied her for second best for the Hornets. Meiller’s beam score led the Hornets with a 9.875 to nearly eclipse the 9.9.
The Hornets now wait to see if they made the NCAA Regional as a team or with individual athletes.
