Sacramento State communication studies professor Bonnie Kay passed away in a Las Vegas hospital Nov. 7.

Kay, a part-time professor, taught courses such as organizational communication and communication experience.

In a release on the Sac State communication studies webpage, communication studies department Chair Steve Buss wrote how the department will fondly remember Kay.

“We will remember her as kind, hardworking, cheerful and intelligent; a dear colleague who brightened up our days and nurtured her students,” Buss wrote. “Her caring and warm spirit will be missed by her students, fellow faculty, staff, and her beloved family.”
