Byers and Rea lead cross country in NCAA West Regional competition

The Sacramento State men’s cross country team finished 18th and the women’s team did not score today at the NCAA West Regional in Seattle.
Reesey Byers led the men’s team with a 42nd place finish with a time of 30:28.34 over the 10k course. Byers’ time is ranked as the third highest in school history.
The Hornets competed only two women led by Justine Rea with an 80th-place finish with a time of 21:20.36 over the 6k course. Rea’s time is ranked as the second fastest at a regional meet in school history.
