False fire alarm causes flooding in dorms
October 18, 2010
First-floor north wing residents of the American River Courtyard residence halls evacuated their rooms due to a fire alarm sprinkler flooding on Monday night.
The fire alarm went off sometime before 9 p.m. and triggered the sprinklers in the building. Fire trucks responded to the alarm, but it was a false alarm.
However, the entire first floor was flooded in the process and residents had to evacuate.
