Sacramento State women’s tennis player Clarisse Baca has been named the first-ever State Hornet Athlete of the Week.

Baca went 3-0 during the week ending March 23. She was also awarded with her first career Big Sky Conference player of the week award.

The sophomore came up with wins against Cal’s Kasia Siwosz, Northern Colorado’s Jenny Whateley, and Montana State’s Charlotta Hjalmarrson.

Baca has now won her last five matches.
