A Sacramento State student and former Union Mine High School volleyball coach was arrested today on suspicion of sending lewd photographs and text messages to two underage students, according to FOX40.

Jeff Steffens, a 22-year-old member of Sac State’s men’s volleyball team, is accused of sending and receiving the messages with the intention of seducing a minor, according to The Sacramento Bee.

Deputies from The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Department said the alleged crimes happened after his employment with the school ended, according to FOX40. The department was alerted on March 19, and an investigation ensued. Steffens was released today on $15,000 bail, according to the sheriff’s department.
