Katz recruits another to his new team
New men’s basketball coach Brian Katz’s second player signed to the Hornets is Antonio Flaggs, a 6-foot-3-inch, 130 pound swingman from Diablo Valley College.Flaggs was the second leading scorer on a team that won the Big 8 Conference. He also co-captained the team that went 26-8 overall.
Track and field victorious in Causeway Classic
The Sacramento State women’s team beat UC Davis 110-82 and the men’s team won 97-95 on Saturday in Davis.
Women’s basketball earns academic honor
The Sac State women’s basketball program was given an Academic Performance Program Public Recognition Award from the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The Hornets received the award because of their latest multi-year Academic Progress Rate scores, which were in the top 10 percent.
Women’s rowing falls to UC Davis
The Hornets fell to the Aggies in the Jean Runyon Cup, only winning the varsity four by posting a time of 7:34.07.
