Sac State rowing splits with San Diego State
March 31, 2008
Sacramento State and San Diego State split four rowing races on Saturday on Lake Natoma. The Hornets won the second varsity eight (7:04.2) and varsity four (team A 7:56.9), while the Aztecs won the varsity eight (6:49.0) and novice eight (team A 7:20.7). This is only the second time Sac State’s varsity eight lost in a duel meet, dropping the program record to 35-2, which began in the spring of 2004. The second varsity eight improved to 5-0 and the novice eight dropped to 4-1. Sac State will return to the water as the Hornets compete in the San Diego Crew Classic on Saturday and Sunday.
