The Sacramento State men’s tennis team defeated Montana 5-2 Friday on the road to remain perfect in Big Sky Conference matches.

The Hornets came from behind after losing the doubles point due to an injury to freshman Ronan Conlon that resulted in two default losses at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.

Junior Sven-David Rueff, sophomores Holden Ching and Anton Stryhas and freshmen Kiryl Harbatsiuk and Artur Klimenka won their singles matches.

The Hornets’ doubles victory came from the No.1 match in which the Belarus duo of Stryhas and Harbatsiuk defeated Colin Dektar and Alexandre Gorj 8-4.

The Hornets will face Montana State at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
