Men’s tennis completes clean sweep of Santa Clara 7-0

The Sacramento State men’s tennis team defeated Santa Clara 7-0 Sunday at Santa Clara.

With the sweep of Santa Clara the Hornets’ record improves 6-7 after losing their three previous matches.

Sophomore Anton Stryhas defeated Jay Wong 7-5, 6-2 in the No. 1 match; freshman Kiryl Harbatsiuk defeated Kenzo Hirakawa-Wong 7-6, 7-6; freshman Artur Klimenka defeated Senthil Chidambaram 6-4, 3-6, 6-2; sophomore Holden Ching defeated Charlie Burke 6-2, 6-1; freshman Ronan Conlon defeated Justin Wong 6-3, 6-3 and junior Sven-David Rueff defeated John Iwanski 6-1, 6-1.

The Hornets face Northern Arizona March 15 in Flagstaff, Ariz. It will be the first Big Sky Conference matchup for the Hornets this season.
