Romero Postpones Legislation for Director Appointment

Romero postponed a scheduled appointment of two Sac State students to the positions of Director of Business and Director of Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies.

Romero pulled legislation recommending Ricky Gutierrez as Director of SSIS because he would not be able to attend the board meetings until 2:45.

Romero said it wouldn’t be fair to other students applying for the position and in the college.

She said there is a conflict between appointing Kiran Tariq, who Romero recommended Feb. 18, and another applicant as director of business.

The legislation will be re-addressed at a special meeting March 5.
