Sacramento State took first place at the fall tournament for the Western Collegiate Racquetball Conference, held at UC Berkeley on Nov. 11. Seven Hornets, five men and two women, competed in the event. Elise Bravo took third place in the women’s gold division and Ana Trinidad took first for the red and white.

The Hornets topped the field that consisted of seven teams from local colleges such as UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz, San Jose State and Stanford.

President of the racquetball club at Sac State, Alejandro Ron, won Men’s Division I and Scott Ferrell took third place.

Josh Martinez took second in the men’s red division and Mike Ostrom took fourth in the gold division. Mike Landers took second place in the gold and blue division.

The next tournament is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008 at UC Davis.
