When in a romantic relationship, one hopes, it is inevitable that the ultimate act of physical expression is done.

It makes no difference whether you call it “making love,” “getting down and dirty,” or “bumping uglies,” the fact of the matter is that you need some good music in order to get the mood right.

“If used properly it can be pivotal,” junior history major Brandon Wells said.

The mood does not have to be perfect. It just has to be right enough to convince the other person to participate in “the deed.” Contrary to what scientists may say “the big bang” doesn’t just happen. It is an orchestrated event that has different pieces that lead to the ultimate climax. Like thatorchestra, music will help not just set up the disposition but also the tempo.

There is a wide array of music to choose from, and it is important to choose carefully. The last thing you want is to have music that will have yourpotential fornicating partner laughing out the door.

Most guys are fine with any selection of music; in fact, most guys wouldprobably boogie down to the “Transformers” theme song. Women are going to need a little more thought.

Lovers don’t want to have a play list that sounds like it came from a high school dance. All that will leave you with is a heavy make-out session in the parking lot before you have to drop your date off at home. If you happen to live with your date, chances are she might have a headache.

So here are ten songs and artists you should have on hand for any sexual moment.

10. Journey – Just about any slow song by them will do. Chances are if you were born in the 1980s then you were conceived to a Journey song, so why not partake in the pastime of your parents.

9. In Your Eyes by Kylie Minogue – This is a great up beat electronic songthat will have you bumping to the beats. If you do listen to this kind of music chances are you are doing ecstasy and are already horny beyond Ripley’s belief system, and could use the sexual release.

8. Come on Closer by Jem – This Welsh beauty gives us one of the greatest songs of dark seduction. Listening, the song paints a picture of lust and animalistic passion that will leave you panting for more.

7. Closer by Nine Inch Nails – Continuing in the tradition of animalisticpassion, NIN does sadomasochism perfectly. The words are in the lyrics for crying out loud.

6. Prince – Any one of his songs will do. It does not matter the music. Anyman, who can make straight men as excited as the women, deserves a sexual award.

5. American Made Music to Strip By album by Rob Zombie – It’s fast andupbeat. This is one of the best albums to have on while burning those sexualcalories.

4. I’ll Make Love To You by Boyz II Men – It is important to show a littlesensitivity, and B2M is just want you need to strike that emotional chord. Sure they may be cheesy, but they’re just so romantic.

3. Wicked Game by Chris Isaak – This is not only a great song, but for thosewho do not listen to hip-hop this slow song is not too cheesy that it has fallen into the cliché category.

2. Unchained Melody by Righteous Brothers – Sure it is an oldie but it will not only show your diversity but also an apperception of music. Women love that kind of stuff. It shows that you are cultured, thus scoring you brownie points.

1. Sexual Healing by Marvin Gaye – Finally no play list is complete withoutthe ultimate classics. Sure this is one of the sappiest love songs ever but after you share a good laugh together, you can’t help but be taken by itsseductive lure.

The next time you perform and hear this music just picture me, giving you a big thumbs up on your music choice. Your performance, however, will be judged on a scale of one to ten, one being the lowest.

“If you’re an unattractive guy, then music isn’t going to help you,” freshman business major Shadee Daneshvar said.

Just so you know she is a very attractive young woman, thus making her statement valid.
