McCoy earns another Player of the Week
Senior Katie McCoy was named the Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week after she helped lead the Sacramento State women’s soccer team to a 4-0 victory with two goals in its first season victory on Hornet Field.
Men’s soccer nets first Player of the Week
Junior Blake Nunes was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation/Brine Player of the Week. Nunes scored two goals last week leading the Hornets to a 2-1 victory over the Air Force Falcons.
Men’s golf places eighth in tourney
Junior Scott DeBorba and sophomore Grant Norton led the Hornets in the SCU Invitational last Tuesday. Sac State finished eighth with a score of 888. Norton and DeBorba tied for 21st with 220, Jeremy Harris (224) tied for 36th, Kyle Candlish (232) tied for 59th and Cody Miller (235) tied for 65th.
Women’s tennis compete play in tourney
Katrina Zheltova and three Hornets doubles made their way to round 16 in the ITA Northwest Fall Regional. No. 8 Zheltova lost in the 16th round to No. 10 Cristina Visco of CAL.
