Blog: ‘Real World’ recap — episode 6
September 18, 2007
For the record, my favorite skittle is the red one. OK.
So! Another day, another argument. Seriously, when do these people not argue? Their pathetic arguments and catty remarks are almost as bad as the mini-skits MTV plays during the commercials.
Shauvon had some “fun” the last episode; so she decided to take a step back, give herself a three foot gap and chill for this one. Smart move honey.
Dunbar’s attitude was the hot topic of the night. His inability to have a normal conversation and his lack of girlfriend doesn’t make him a happy camper. Isaac tried to lend his support by buying him a dirty Australian magazine, being the thoughtful one that he is.
His rationalization? To be as subtle as possible, Dunbar needed, well, some. That’s it. Just some. Damn, I tried to be subtle. I really did. Oh well.
Dunbar opens up about his past to KellyAnne and explains that his anger tantrums started back at a young age. He became emancipated from his abusive parents at the age of 15. His anger builds up and expressing his feelings in a way that doesn’t seem bitter is tough for him.
Shauvon gets first hand at Grumpy when the rest of the house falls into a conversation about religion. Religion? Whoa! Hardcore serious talk.
I know what you’re thinking. I too thought sex, alcohol and more sex were the only topics they were allowed to cover.
Trisha all of a sudden becomes knowledgeable when the topic of the Bible comes up. Who knew she read the Bible? Cheap shot. But, I wasn’t the only one thinking that.
I believe Shauvon is the only one not to fall into Dunbar’s radar. She is so far so good. She’s safe from him, for now.
Besides the drama, KellyAnne goes off on a date with Casey, a boy she met at a club one night. Sadly, he does nothing for her, for all she can think about is Cohutta. I knew he was going to be a lady killer!
Later at night after her date, they sneak off to bed where the covers once again hide them from the camera’s view.
No need to worry, he’s only the flavor of the episode. The girls from the house change their mind on men like they change their bedmate.
