The Sacramento State Art Department presents “More Pinhole Dreams,” a show of photographs and cameras designed by the Pinhole Photography class. According to Liz Geisser, pinhole photography is photography at its most basic: the camera is nothing more than a box with a tiny hole in the side. The resulting images defy description, filled with surprises in color and design. Using only a tiny hole for a lens creates a special aesthetic that cannot be recreated using a traditional camera with a lens. Long exposure times paint images on the film that convey movement and beauty, time and space.
The show will be in the Raymond R. Witt Gallery in Kadema Hall. The shows will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, April 30 through Friday, May 4. On May 4, there will be a closing reception from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
