1. Trick question. Hornet baseball is currently a Division I independant. The team is slated to move into the WAC next season and was a member of the Big West as recently as 2002.

2. The men’s golf team won the the 1997 and 1998 Big Sky championships behind Robert Hamilton (No. 6 on The State Hornet’s Top 10 Male Athletes of the Div. I Era) and current coach Adam Pohll.

3. Hornet rowing currently calls Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova home. The CSUS Aquatic Center is widely considered to be the finest rowing venue in the country and has hosted two previous NCAA Rowing Championships while this years will also come to the Capital Region.

4. Tom Abatemarco coached Sacramento State men’s hoops from 1998-2000.

5. Jamel Mitchell is the Hornet soccer program leader for goals scored.
